Position Title:  Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Manhattan, KS

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to extract stone and aggregate materials.
• Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily operations and equipment usage.
• Assist in site cleanup and organization as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid heavy equipment operator's license or certification.
• Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in a quarry or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
